Shaw Walters’s p(doom)

?
Founder, Eliza Labs / elizaOS (formerly ai16z) · asked on record, no number given

What they said

Shaw Walters was asked for a p(doom) on the record (Mar 6, 2026) and did not give a number.

So what's your number for P(doom)? I think this is a certain flaw in relatively smart people that they feel this need to take a hyper complex vector and turn it into a scalar number. ... I just don't believe in doom. ... My P(doom) is a multipolar. It's gotta be at least 10 dimensions at this point. It's pretty low on some of those dimensions, but mostly it's pretty high.

BlockchainGamer.biz interview by Jon Jordan. Asked directly for a number, gave none ('mostly it's pretty high' is words, not a number). Crypto-AI agent founder.

Why this is here

The database records refusals as well as numbers. A refusal is not a number, so it never counts toward any median. If Shaw Walters states a number in public, it gets a row. What p(doom) means, and the case against it.
